Entertaining and educational content promoting inline skating on YouTube and Instagram
Rollerblader

In my 30's I've started to learn rollerblading, trying to replicate the thrill of skiing in a more affordable way. Over the time I've tried many different setups, out of which 3x110 mm was the fastest.

At some point I would mostly commute on skates between home and work, skating roughly 6 km every day. That was a great way to stay in a good physical shape, except for the sprains and bruises from episodic falls.

Later, inspired by The Wizard of Wall Street video by Leon Basin, I've leaned into wizard skating – new and very niche discipline at the time. Being an early adopter of this style, I've gradually grown my name – NazarOnWheels, both on YouTube (1.5K followers) and Instagram (1K followers).

It had started as a way to document my skating progress, which later transformed into a dedicated activity, gradually perfecting my video-production and social-media skills. The highest production quality was achieved in this video showcasing the wizard-skating and mushroom-blading styles:

My content ranged from entertaining and artistic videos to educational and technical reviews. It had also resulted in collaboration with several skating brands, for which I've tested early equipment prototypes, provided reviews and publicity through my channels.

Lessons I’ve learnt during my skating journey: from a beginner to an influencer

In 2023 I've added a BMX to my collection of wheels, which I practice from time to time. In contrast to rollerblades, which mostly engage the lower part of the body, BMX provides good training for the upper part. The two combined make a balanced and enjoyable type of workout.
